What is an Interactive Teller Machine (ITM)?

An ITM is an innovative new banking technology that allows you to conduct Direct Teller transactions via video conferencing at the drive-up without entering a branch. A Bank Plus employee from one of our branches in Estherville, Swea City, Ledyard or Graettinger will assist you virtually with each transaction.

You can also conduct normal ATM transactions at the machines! If you are a Bank Plus customer with a debit card you can also complete deposits within the ATM functionality.

 

Where can I complete a ITM transaction?

You will find Bank Plus ITMs in the drive-ups at our Estherville, Graettinger and Swea City locations.


How does ITM Video/Direct Teller work?

When you’re ready, simply touch the screen to be connected directly to one of our Direct Tellers. You may be asked to scan your ID for identification. 

 

What transactions can be conducted at the ITM?

Almost any transaction that can be completed at a teller line can be completed at an ITM. Examples include:

  • Checking/savings deposits
  • Checking/savings withdrawals
  • Balance inquiries
  • Account transfers
  • Check cashing
  • Loan payments
  • Exchange bills
  • Order checks

Is there a fee to use an ITM?

No, using an ITM is the same as going to the teller window. There are no additional fees.


Is my conversation with a Direct Teller private?

Yes, your conversations are as private as if you were standing in line inside the bank, are talking through a drive-up window.


Who are the tellers I’ll be interacting with?

All Direct Tellers work out of one of our four branches, Estherville, Swea City, Ledyard or Graettinger. You may recognize a few of them, as they also work in the branches.


When are Interactive Teller Machines available?

ITMs will be available 8:30 AM to 4 PM, Monday through Friday. ITMs provide ATM services outside of these hours.


Can I still use ATM features without a Direct Teller to assist me?

Yes, if you prefer to complete an ATM transaction without the assistance of a Direct Teller, simply insert your card into the ITM and follow the steps you would take with a typical ATM. During the ATM transaction, if you would like assistance, you have the option of speaking with the teller at any time.

 

How do I cash a check?

We can cash a check to the exact amount, no deposit slip or envelope needed. Get started by inserting the check into the deposit slot when your teller is ready. After you see the image of the check on the screen, choose to deposit it or cash it.


How do I make a cash deposit?

The machine will read and count each bill and will display the deposit amount on the screen for verification. If you have several bills, we recommend adding only 40 bills at a time.


Can I break a $20 at the ITM?

Absolutely! You can break a larger bill or even consolidate smaller bills into larger ones. The ITM has you covered. Simply touch the screen to start the process. You can also make withdrawals in many common denominations.

If you use the ITM as an ATM, it will function just like a regular ATM. Meaning when you make a withdrawal, in most instances you will get cash back in $20 bills.


Is there a delay in transactions made at the ITM?

No, your account will be updated just as timely as it is when you come inside the bank.


Are the interactive tellers bank employees?

You bet! We wouldn’t let just anybody handle your money. All interactive tellers have the same expertise as the staff you know and trust inside the bank lobby.
